Muddy Bay between the man-made Boathaven Beach and Mandalay Point is the entrance to the Port of Airlie marina.
There is a great view from here across the pretty turquoise bay at high tide but at low tide it may get quite shallow and muddy.
This is a great spot to watch the tour boats come and go in the morning and late afternoon, if you don't happen to be on one of them.
Visiting by boat ourselves, we thought Airlie Beach needed some more caches for the walking tourist who does not arrive by car as there seems to be a big gap on the map. There is parking close by though in the street if needed.
The cache is hanging around where you can admire the view. Sit down and look up.
