Once you have taken in the sights at the given coordinates, mosey on around the corner to the East to the coordinates for the Final (N 43° 2.988' W 87° 59.058'). For the best view of the Heights Dream Library mural, you might actually want to look at it from the East side of 57th Street, although you will want to be on the West side to actually find the cache.
According to the Heights Dream Library website:
- Artist Fred Kaems painted the mural in July/August, 2020. Kaems is described as "a multi-disciplinary artist and Washington Heights resident. He works as a painter, muralist, designer and maker, and his work is in private collections around the country. He has created works for scores of large-scale clients."
- The design featuring imaginary books on shelves is intended to "promote both adult and children’s literacy, provide a connection to libraries, and support neighborhood involvement."
- " The Heights Dream Library is intended to be a visual reminder that ideas sparked by dreams can change the person, the neighborhood and the world."
