I want to give thanks for having recently achieved a significant-to-me geocaching milestone, and for all the caching friends and community who have helped me get there, for all the fun adventures, the mysterious hides, and the fabulous finds.
American Thanksgiving, the Thanksgiving that I grew up with and still connect with, is always at the end of November. While I couldn't arrange to do an event on the specific Thanksgiving date this year, I did want to do one close in time, so this is it. After all, in Canada, at least around here, it seems like people choose which day of the Thanksgiving weekend they want to actually do their celebration on, depending on other factors in their lives - so I am sort of doing the same thing, only stretching it out to be a Thanksgiving week instead of weekend.
I am sorry to say that there will not be a full-on turkey dinner being served. Those who wish to do so can purchase their own drinks or treats. I will however have some prizes and/or treats to show my appreciation ... and maybe some turkey trivia.
