Landis Arobretum

It has been a few of years since I first came across the Landis Arboretum. What has changed since the last two caches I placed here were activated is that I have been listening to public radio quite a bit. One of the offerings is a call-in show with questions about plants, trees, and all issues with flora for the experts that have donated their time for the show. I have listened a few times and heard it mentioned that a geocaching class is offered with the intent of taking people to the caches in the arboretum. A quick search meant they were going to find the ones I had previously placed.

Fast-forward from that time and I find myself here with Renmin to tag along for him looking for some of my caches and our bright idea to brute force a find from another cacher's myster cache.  The latter part was not successful but one thing that I had done was place yeat another container in hopes of eventually making it a part of a multi.  Years passed while it lay dormant, watching, waiting.....

Fast-forward once more, five and a half years later and I am now here with my mom to do some maintenance and find the only cache in here that I did not have a part in hiding.  I think this one has been very patient and it is time to actually let it be sought out.

Fast-forward another few years and I yet again find myself visiting Landis, now with Curriecrew4 in tow, looking to do some maintenenace as well as have her find the caches that I have placed throughout here as well as another placed by a different geocacher.

This time, finally, a trail that was taking shape has been opened and is available to explore...and to place a new cache or two...

The geocache is located here:  N42° 47.ABC W074° 16.DEF

At the IP, there is a trail sign.  Gather information from this sign to find:

D=Number of small circles

F=Number of trees

From the trail sign, look westward along the Ancient Forest Trail and locate the "Buttressed Roots" sign.  There are four numbers on this sign. Use information on this sign to find:

A=Second number, first digit

B=First numbers, second digit

C=Third number, second digit

E=Fourth number, first digit
