La Villa comunale di Salerno è il "giardino" della città. Progettata nel 1874 all'ingresso della città scendendo da Vietri sul Mare e realizzata nel 1790 per dare ristoro ai viaggiatori provenienti in città dalla Costiera Amalfitana e da Napoli. È situata di fronte al Teatro Verdi e possiede un lussureggiante orto botanico con molte piante rare dell'area mediterranea ed oltre.
