The Rainbow Parks series continues!
When the kids were little, they refgerred to every park in town not by the actual names of the parks, but by the color of the playground equipment at each. This has stuck, and is how our family still refers to the parks. We've decided to commemorate this by placing a few caches around town at our favorites.
This one, Red Park, was always a favorite for its superior play structure. After a good run-around on that, the kids liked to play in the sand at the adjacent volleyball court and, in the summer, splash in the creek that runs through the park. (Actually, they still like to do that.) There are lots of places to explores, AND, bonus: you can walk into Oakland Cemetery from the back of the park, so if you want to go for the cache there, you can park once and cache twice!
You are looking for an appropriately colored bison tube. Please BYOP, CITO, and respected posted park hours of 6:30am to 10:30 pm. This cache was placed with permission from the City of Fort Dodge Parks & Recreation Department.
