Dartmoor Tors Monthly Event 27 - Rowtor
This is the twenty-seventh event in the Dartmoor Tors Monthly event series. We are hosting these events in conjunction with Dave and Judy (Dartmoor Dave and Dartmoor Judy) and we will alternate who hosts them. We will select an attendee from each event to draw out the location for the event in two months time. All events will be held on the 3rd Sunday of each month at 12:00 noon.
The events will alternate between "remote" tors, more than a mile from the nearest logical parking and "more accessible" tors, less than a mile. This event is in the "more accessible" classifacation. This month we will be getting together at the Rowtor. We get to venture out on North Moor! As this will be the last event before xmas we would encourage you all to get dressed up with Chrismas Jumpers and/or Christmas Hats.
Please remember that the weather on Dartmoor can change suddenly and unexpectedly and ALL types of weather conditions can be experienced. Please ensure that you have the correct clothing!
Please Note: This is a Military Training Area on which live firing and other pyrotechnics may be used. The area is generally open public access. One of the safety rules for public access is:- Do not, (and ensure that children do not) approach, touch or pick up any metal objects lying on the ground. Please obey all bylaws and locally posted information concerning times when the area may be closed. These may be physical barriers, marker posts, flags, lights or manned control posts.
