M is for Map because I often find areas to explore by looking at maps. I was looking at a map of the Vernon Walker Wildlife Management Area (see below) and saw that the yellow overlay, showing the area, included a place I had not yet explored. And there were blue circles with “A” in them in several locations. I clicked on an “A” and it gave info about an Access point. I got so excited…a whole new location to explore!
On a different satellite image, several “roads” were superimposed. Perfect. I came prepared to hide geocaches in this new area and did hide four. The red arrow on the map below is the location for parking and one of the geocaches. The red stars show where other geocaches are hidden. More to come as I continue exploring.
Please be aware, hunting is allowed here. Wear bright orange. Or better yet, visit this land on a Sunday when hunting in Maine is not allowed.
This cache is small and covered in camou tape. it is hidden at the end of one of the roads, behind a tree.
