Geocache Description:

昭和22年、戦災復興土地区画整理事業の一環として、市内に点在する279寺の墓地約18ヘクタール、189,030基を市内の東部丘陵約147ヘクタールの土地に移転することとし、この地区を平和公園と称し、墓園として計画し、昭和56年9月には墓碑の移転も完了。航空図でみても類稀なる土地です。市内でも有名な桜の名所で、咲く時期には多数の方が来られます。公園も広く、散歩コースもあるので一日遊べますので是非お越しください
