Geocache Description:

Each little owl in its olive tree

The owl is a small and friendly bird of prey that lives in our fields and is in decline

In this field live several owls, there is probably one right now looking at you without you realizing it. With a little luck you can see one fly among the olive trees. If you see them, don't bother them, but they are very used to the presence of people.

This field is very frequented by people with their dogs, so be careful not to be seen.

PS: if you hear one or more "meows" (mainly at the end of the afternoon), don't worry, it's not a lost cat, it's the owlets communicating with each other.

Night and day
Although it is a nocturnal bird of prey, we can observe it during the day.

Always as a couple
The owl forms stable pairs throughout its life, being very attached to the nests. Couples remain until one of the two members dies.

Varied diet
It generally feeds on invertebrates such as crickets, grasshoppers, beetles, worms or moths.
