While on a hike seeking nearby smileys I saw this little "trail" that looks to be a shortcut to the lower/higher trail of hides. There was just enough room to squeeze a hide in so I decided to hide one.
the mains trail (not this side one) often has some large puddles and can be a little difficult to avoid so for this one I recommend a good pair of waterproof shoes. This side trail can also be fairly wet at times but can be avoidable. (I wore waterproof hikers and I was fine).
I hid this cache using the wise words of a fellow cacher scouter Ted, "the further in a cache is, the easier it should be." I totally agree with this as it is truly painful to go far in the woods for a DNF. Therefore why this one is an easy find.
Cache is a nut jar about 1.5 litres with lots of swag and a logbook. Although I doubt this trail is very popular I ask that you tuck this one back how you found it.
I triple checked the coordinates on this one and my final reading had me 1 meter from the hiding spot.
Happy hunting!!
