This series is designed for the Te Araroa Walker to find some caches on the journey.
From the Puketi Area Recreation Campsite turn right. Follow Waiare Road south for 2 km until you cross a small road bridge and then come to the start of the Upper Puketotara track on your left (km 200). This is an easy tramping track about 4km through to Mangakaretu road at kilometre 204.3. You will be walking alongside a stream in QE2 reserve until you reach a fence corridor leading to Mangakaretu Road between bull paddocks. About the halfway point there is a pleasant waterfall area where you could stop for a snack (and find this cache!)
