Parking at top of the hill exists but is limited. Trail is an abandoned paved road DOWN to almost river level. You have to come UP. All hides are on side of trail away from active train tracks. You do not need to go near the train tracks.
To get to this trail, you need to either cross the abandoned bridge or step across the rocks in Kelly's Run.
Every time I have walked out this far on the trail, it has been pretty overgrown. I think the hunters may have trimmed the multiflora roses this fall. After the abandoned bridge, the trail was reasonably passable, flat, and sometimes open. That was in December. In summer, the plants will be happy. Hikers not so much.
You are looking for a gold-wrapped film canister in a hole in the side of a tree that has an unusual lower part. Yes, it's a little container in the woods; I ran out of bigger containers in my backpack. Plus, you are an experienced cacher if you came out this far. The area where it is has a lot of open understory. You should be able to easily see the distinctive tree.
