This property which features a dilapidated "pioneering" farm house (private property. DO NOT ENTER) was also the resting place for a couple of retired buses belonging to Dennis Maxwell who operated a fleet of buses servicing country areas mostly inland from Ulverstone and Devonport. He was particularly well known for his services ferrying bush walkers to or from both ends of the Cradle Mountain National Park. Both buses now reside in Hobart with the Tasmanian Bus and Coach Society where they have been extensively restored.
It is always amazing to find groups which are passionate about various wonderful things ....... old buses included. I would love to own an Ansair Clipper bus. (See gallery).
ALWAYS carry a writing implement. No pen here ! No room for swaps.
