At the back of the nature center is a wonderful bird viewing area. Have a seat and enjoy the birds while you think about where the logbook might be located. Can you ID all the different birds you see? If not the park provides pictures with names on the window ledges, lighted picture displays with names, and many reference books with in-depth descriptions.
There are other reference books for plants, animals and geological features found in the park. With the variety of geocaches available in the Metro Park system geocachers are frequent park visitors. What can you learn about them?
