Parking: Is in the main Robinswood Hill car park, see the parking waypoint. This is a free car park and has no time limit - as long as you leave before it closes!
Where: Meet in front of the ranger station at the given reference point for 0930 or meet up at the main coordinates for 1000.
What: We will be clearing and sorting ash trees which will have been felled due to ash dieback. The area will be cleared: brash burnt and larger logs saved for habitat piles.
How: The Countryside Ranger will be there providing guidance. We ask you to bring your own gloves and if you have them tools, so if you have loppers and a saw please do bring them along. Don't worry if you don't have them as the ranger will have a supply too.
Health and Safety: The session and will be covered by council insurance as long as you are working under the Countryside Ranger's instruction.
This is a great event for children, however the fire burns extremly hot and so supervision is essential.
Please make sure you bring along your own refreshments as it can be thirsty work!
