Eeyore is a fictional character in the Winnie the Pooh books by A.A. Milne. He is generally characterized as a pessimistic,gloomy old grey stuffed donkey with a nailed on tail who is a friend of the title character, Winnie-the-Pooh. When cheerfully adressed by other animals he will respond "Thanks for noticing me". He does develop a close friendship with Tigger, though they do not share any character traits. They are polar opposites.
