Our “On Guard!” cache served us well for over ten years and nearly 200 logged visits. The parking area for On Guard! is also the parking area for our newest hide.
With a little inspiration from some amazing gadget caches by Trycacheus in Gilby, North Dakota (just north of Fargo), and the Berkeley Gadgets GeoTour (GT96) by WVTIM, ideas from cacher Derek of Baker6Clan, some beta testing from cachingbrat and help from Bodda&Gramp to scout out and set up the location, “Cabin in the Woods” is our first gadget cache, our first Travel Bug Hotel and our first ammo can in the woods.

We have your reservation on file and we're delighted you chose our little Cabin in the Woods for your visit.
You might see our little Cabin in the Woods from the parking area. The Cabin is not far from the road, however we do not recommend a bushwack straight from the road to the Cabin. Stroll along the edge of the road and look for a symbol familiar to Geocachers across from the parking area. That’s the correct spot to enter and and I'll do my best to keep this short path from the street clear. This area is known for ticks, thorns and poison ivy so please plan accordingly. Once you arrive at the familiar sign, you’ll see our little Cabin to your left.
Our Guest Register is safely within an ammo can inside the Cabin and we do hope you'll sign in. If you are our first Guest, we left a First to Find coin with the Guest Register. There is no need to pry apart the walls of the Cabin to remove the ammo can and sign the Guest Register. Everything you need is right there. Just look closely, that's the Key.
Travel Bugs enjoy resting at our lovely Cabin in the Woods, feel free to exchange some or just drop them for a visit. The first resident Travel Bugs have been here awhile and I genuinely apologize to their owners. It's been a rough couple years.
Our Cabin is nothing like Trycacheus (ND) or WVTim (WV) but I'm working on it. If you have not tried their gadget caches it's worth the trip.
