Idioma

Muchos geocachers hablan o al menos entienden inglés. Si Etterke asiste, seguro que ayudará a los habitantes de Benidorm o a otros españoles si no dominan el inglés y creen que no pueden asistir a la reunión por ese motivo. Habla español con fluidez y puede ayudar, traducir o actuar como intermediario. Gracias Etterke.

English

A lot of people from all over Europe come to Benidorm for a pleasant vacation. And some of them are Geocachers. There are also some locals from Benidorm who are passionate geocachers. It would be nice to meet and greet you all once again!

It is my seventh Meet & Greet here in Benidorm.

Where

This Meet and Greet will be in the Parc de L'Aigüera, a nice park in the center of Benidorm. Behind the town hall is a small amphitheatre, a nice place to meet each other. There we will meet.

ATTENTION: it is not in the bigger amphitheater “Julio Eglesias” which is a little bit further in the park.

There is a bus (nr. 10) from Altea via Albir and via l'Alfaz del Pi to Benidorm. Stay on that bus till the last stop at the Av. del Mediterráneo. Then you are very close to the meeting place.

Woodies

I designed a special Woody for this occasion, (see pictures) and you can get this memento by trading it for another one or for 1 EUR which covers the cost price.

There are only 50 copies of this coin, so you can only get one per person. If you like more than one wooden coin, you have to wait till 18:00 to see if there are leftovers.

Banner

I will provide a banner for the attendees a few days after the event!

Language

A lot of geocachers speak or at least understand English. If Etterke attends, he certainly will help the inhabitants of Benidorm or other Spanish people if they are not fluent enough in English and think they can't attend the meeting for that reason. He is fluent in Spanish, and can help, translate or act as a go-between. Thank you Etterke.

Plan B

Although it never rains in Benidorm, I provided the co-ordinates for a plan-B place.

In case of heavy rain we meet at the point “When it's raining” that you can find on this page.

Practical issues

• There will be a logbook (obviously)

• There will be also a logbook where you can write down the TB-codes of the TB's you have with you. At the end of the meeting you can copy those codes by writing them down or by taking pictures to log them as “discovered”.

• If you are planning to drop TB's at the event, you can log them as “dropped” at the Meet & Greet page before you come to the event, so that the person who takes the TB can “Retrieve” it when he comes back home.

Velen komen van over heel Europa naar Benidorm voor een vakantie in een aangenaam klimaat. En sommigen onder hen zijn Geocachers. Er zijn zelfs lokale bewoners van Benidorm die fervente geocachers zijn. Het zou fijn zijn om u allen opnieuw te ontmoeten en te groeten!

Het mijn zevende Meet & Greet hier in Benidorm.

Waar

Deze Meet and Greet wordt gehouden in het Parc de L'Aigüera, een mooi park in het centrum van Benidorm. Achter het gemeentehuis bevindt zich een klein amfiteater, een leuke plaats om mekaar te ontmoeten. Daar zullen we afspreken.

OPGELET: het gaat hier niet over het veel grotere “Julio Iglesias Auditorium” dat enkele honderden meter verder in het park gelegen is.

Woodies

Ik ontwierp een speciale houten coin (Woody) voor deze gelegenheid (zie afbeeldingen) en u kan er één bekomen door te ruilen tegen een andere of door 1 EUR te betalen om de kosten te dekken.

De oplage van deze coin is gelimiteerd tot 50 stuks. Daarom is er in eerste instantie slechts één woody per aanwezige voorzien. Wenst u er meer dan één dan kan u wachten tot 18:00 om te kijken of er nog over zijn.

Ik zal een banner bezorgen aan al de aanwezigen enkele dagen na het event!

Plan B

Alhoewel het nooit regent in Benidorm, heb ik de coördinaten voorzien van een plan-B locatie. Als het dus hard regent, moet u zich naar die coördinaten van het punt “When it's raining” begeven die ook op deze pagina te vinden zijn.

Praktische regelingen

• Er zal een logboek aanwezig zijn (uiteraard)

• Er zal ook een logboek zijn om de codes van de TB's te noteren die u meebrengt naar het event. Als u naar huis gaat kan u dan de codes uit dit boek overschrijven of fotograferen zodat u ze als “discovered” kan loggen.

• Als u van plan bent om TB's te droppen op dit event, dan kan je ze best reeds voor uw komst als dropped loggen op deze pagina van het event. Op die manier kan de persoon die hem heeft meegenomen hem ogenblikkelijk bij zijn thuiskomst loggen als “retrieved”.
