This cache is accessed from the lower Pandapas pond parking lot. The trail leads to the pollinator garden, which is a neat place to see, too. You will need to come off the trail a little in order to find the cache. Please place it back the way you found it.
The name of the cache, The Dam, relates to the pond formation. The larger straight section of the trail that runs along the lower end of the pond rests atop a man made dam. Below the dam you can see it is a creek again. The creek that flows in from the mud flats upsteam backs up above the dam to create the pond.
