We had looked for some places around Chittenden County to place some new caches. Some of the places were viable but weren't all that fun for us to go. Why send someone there then?
We looked at some of our finds that have gone to the cache archives in the sky and decided to resurrect some of those spots with new hides.
This cache is just off the Sucker Brook Hollow Trail in Williston. There used to be an Old School Cache nearby that got archived in June 2022. We checked on it anyway and didn't find it where it was in December 2020. That was probably just as well since the trail had lots of new signage indicating that the Old School Cache's GZ would be out of bounds today. We chose a spot along the trail nearby for a simple cache. It's smaller than the regular that used to be nearby, so this could have been a Reduce, Reuse & Recycle cache.
If you head out on the trail, be prepared for mud and/or ice depending on the season. Good boots will help in the mud. Microspikes or snowshoes might help in the event that winter sets in.
