If you’ve ever played a short golf course, you know the 9th green is always a bittersweet achievement. Something beautiful yet a little disappointing. You are nearly done with the caching here at Schoharie Crossing. We assume you’ve had a great time, but we hate to see you go. We’ll miss you when you’re gone…we’ll always have the 2024 Winter-Series :D
New York State Parks would like to extend Winter welcome to the Saratoga-Capital District geocaching community! We truly hope you enjoy it! This year, caches have been hidden at Peebles Island, Schodack Island, Grafton Lakes, Mine Kill, and Schoharie Crossings. Each cache has been placed in a winter-friendly, meant-to-be-found manner, so have some seasonal fun and get on the trails at these beautiful New York State Parks! Don’t forget to bring a pen to sign the logs!
The Parks have variable hours of operation in the winter based on the time of sunset and staff availability, so call ahead if you’re not familiar with each Park’s schedule. You can find phone numbers for each Park, along with maps and other information at www.nysparks.com.
We love feedback and we review every log, so please let us know how you liked this series when you post your finds. We appreciate your support of the Sara-Cap NYS Parks geocaching programs and would like to thank you for visiting our parks! Please visit www.nysparks.com for more information, and "like" and follow the individual parks on Facebook.
