Geocache Description:

This Letterbox Hybrid Cache is located in State Road Nature Preserve in Webster New York.

The round trip is a little bit more than a mile.  The listed cooridnates are where you need to start your Journey to find the letter box. Once you arrive at this spot, See Your Journey section in this listing to find directions to the actual letterbox.

Since this is a letterbox, there is a stamp inside the cache for those who enjoy that aspect of it. The stamp is self inking but I would suggest you bring your own ink pad in case the self inking aspect is not working.

PLEASE LEAVE THE STAMP WITH THE CACHE AS IT IS NOT A TRADE ITEM.

YOUR JOURNEY

The posted coordinates will bring you to the start of your journey.

Once you have reached the start of your jouney location you need to head west at the T intersection.
Continue over a walking bridge and then continue down the trail.
Keep Pond to your left and continue over another bridge.
Continue down the trail and when you see many many patio homes turn right.
A Creek will be on your left.
Continue past one main ditch and then go past two small boulders one on each side of the trail.
After that continue past three main ditches.
Once you have passed the third ditch there is a trail to the right about 60 feet away.
Walk past the trail and continue on the deer trail for about 90 feet.
A letterbox is waiting for you.

What I mean by main ditch is one that is bigger then the others and has water for the most part running.

The trails here are maintained by the Friends of Webster Trails.

The Friends of Webster Trails (FWT) is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization enthusiastically serving as the volunteer arm of the Webster Parks and Recreation Department. it was established in 1997. FWT has now built 19.5 miles of trails in the Whiting Road Nature Preserve, Gosnell Big Woods Preserve, Four Mile Creek Preserve, State Road Nature Preserve and other properties'

A trail map for the State Road Nature Preserve can be downloaded from their site https://webstertrails.org

The trails are well marked however  you may have to do some wading depending on the conditions there are also some ditches on the trail. GPS satellite coverage is tough in this area maybe off +- 20 feet.
