El Monumento al Emigrante rinde homenaje a los carcabulenses que emigraron hace siglos a la ciudad argentina de Rafaela. Inaugurado en 2013, tiene vistas al Castillo, y muestra un mural con placas con los nombres de personas que emigraron.
La ciudad de Rafaela es la primera ciudad hermanada de Carcabuey.
A principios del siglo pasado, hubo una ola de emigración, principalmente a América del Sur, y muchas familias se fueron con la esperanza de encontrar una vida mejor. Algunas de ellas nunca regresaron.
Carcabuey alcanzó su pico de población en las décadas de 1940 y 1950, desde entonces ha experimentado un constante descenso de población hasta la actualidad, al igual que muchos otros pueblos andaluces. Por otro lado, se vuelve cada vez más interesante para los turistas por su hermoso paisaje, las coloridas tradiciones que la gente de Carcabuey aún mantiene y la deliciosa comida y bebida que hace que Carcabuey sea tan especial (pruebe en verano la especialidad del pueblo Caracoles y Charco en cualquiera de los bares del pueblo).

The Monument to the Emigrant, inagurated in 2013, pays homage to the people of Carcabuey who emigrated centuries ago to the Argentine city of Rafaela. Inaugurated in 2013, it has views of the Castle in the background, next to the Descendants Center is a mural with plaques showing the names of people from Carcabuey who emigrated centuries ago to Argentina.

There was a wave of emigration, mainly to South America, in the beginning of last century, families left in the hope to find a better life, some of them never returned. Nevertheless Carcabuey reached its population peak in the 1940s and 1950s, since then its experiencing a constant decline in population until today, like many other Andalusian villages. On the other hand it becames more and more interesting for tourists for its beautiful landscape, the colourful traditions the people of Carcabuey still keep up and the delicious food and drinks which makes Carcabuey so special (try in summer the village speciality Caracoles and Charco in any of the village bars).

Das 2013 eingeweihte Emigrantendenkmal ist eine Hommage an die Einwohner von Carcabuey, die vor Jahrhunderten in die argentinische Stadt Rafaela ausgewandert sind. Es wurde 2013 eingeweiht und bietet einen schönen Blick auf die Burg im Hintergrund, daneben befindet sich ein Wandgemälde mit Tafeln mit den Namen von Menschen aus Carcabuey, die vor Jahrhunderten nach Argentinien ausgewandert sind.
Die Stadt Rafaela, Argentinien, ist seit 2013 die erste Partnerstadt von Carcabuey.
Zu Beginn des letzten Jahrhunderts gab es eine Auswanderungswelle, vor allem nach Südamerika. Familien gingen in der Hoffnung auf ein besseres Leben, einige von ihnen kehrten nie zurück. Nichtsdestotrotz erreichte Carcabuey in den 1940er und 1950er Jahren seinen Bevölkerungshöhepunkt, seitdem erlebt es wie viele andere andalusische Dörfer bis heute einen stetigen Bevölkerungsrückgang. Auf der anderen Seite wird es für Touristen immer interessanter wegen seiner wunderschönen Landschaft, der farbenfrohen Traditionen die die Einwohner von Carcabuey immer noch pflegen, und der köstlichen Speisen und Getränke, die Carcabuey so besonders machen (probieren Sie im Sommer die Dorfspezialität „Caracoles“ (Schnecken) und „Charco“ (köstliche Pfirsichbowle) in einer der Bars des Dorfes).
