LET'S CELEBRATE!
Fun, Friends, and Fellowship are the three core items that started it all 19 1/2 years ago at the first Midwest Geobash Event. Event caches are a great way to meet new people, meet up with your old Geo-Friends, explore new places, and share memories. Events can be a one time gathering, once a month, or a time to meet up with others once a year. So let's get together and have an event! But not just any event, a Halfway to Midwest Geocache Event!! We can share stories about our favorite Geocaches and events, grab a bite to eat or even enjoy a cold beverage.
When: Saturday, January 27, 2024
Time: 10:30am-11:00am
Where: Burnidge Forest Preserve/Paul Wolff Campground Shelter #1-PW (aka the posted coordinates)
This event is one of several events being held today to mark the halfway point to Midwest Geobash 2024. "Bash" as it is known to most who have attended the event, is held each year in Wauseon, Ohio. 2024 marks the 20th year Geocachers from all over the country as well as the world have been coming together to enjoy Fun, Friends, and Fellowship. Happy 19 1/2 Birthday Midwest Geobash!!
This is a family friendly venue, all are welcome to attend! Even your furry companions are welcome - well, at least on-leash dogs are. Not sure the Kane County Forest Preserve District thought much about traveling ferrets or chinchillas. There will be coffee, hot chocolate, water, and donut holes! Plus hopefully items to give away!
