Geocache Description:

03 February 2024, 13:00 - 14:00

I started caching on June 2, 2011, and didn't attend my first Event until 10 months later, in April 2012 - a gathering held by badlands at the Oberweis in St. Charles. It took another 11 months to attend my second Event, in March 2013 - a Friday Lunch Club hosted by herbs2.

It took some time for me to get going on Events, but I've come to really enjoy them. Events, CITOs, Megas...they all fill a different need in a cacher's life, but they all have something in common: they are a great time to hang out with other cachers, chill, tell stories, and listen to stories. Whether you're reminiscing about that time you maintained a streak for 1,000 days, found 500+ caches on the ET Highway in one day, or visited 48 states and three provinces in a 10 month period, events are meant to be FUN! And it's the people you surround yourself with that make it that way, so I'm hoping you can join me for this one!

Anyway, this should end up being my 100th Event Cache (specifically Events - not counting CITO, Mega, etc.). I figured that was cause enough to celebrate - and what better way to celebrate than with gelato, hot chocolate, baked goods, and so much more!

The event will be held at:

All Chocolate Kitchen

33 S 3rd St, Geneva, IL 60134

On Saturday, February 3, 2024, from 1:00pm - 2:00pm.

ALL AGES ARE WELCOME! There's plenty of parking along 3rd St, James St...actually pretty much all the streets over there.
