Found on the Horokiwi Bridleway – very close to the junction should you want to come up here via the track further up the valley. This track doesn’t have a sign at present (I think though that this is the Honeysuckle Ridge) It is a bit overgrown in parts but still walkable. Just watch out for that nasty Tātarāmoa or Bush Lawyer! (See Waypoint)
The Horokiwi Bridleway can be accessed from a variety of ways. Korokoro stream track can lead up here, passed Baked Bean Bend. You could come down this way from the Belmont Trig – just watch the steep gradient near the bottom.
Alternatively, start up the top of Horokiwi and come down into the valley before heading back up to here. (One for carrying plenty of water on a hot day though -whew!)
