Sharks bay is a popular surfing and swimming location. Although this beach is not monitored by Surf Life Savers, this beach is perfect to cool off on a hot day.
The Surfing Grannies 1979 - 1993
Between 1979 and 1993 ten Evans Head ladies swam daily at Shark Bay for recreation and enjoyment. The 'Surfing Grannies" attracted national attention and many travelled to Evans Head to meet them.
To get to the GC you must park at the Shark Bay carpark and scramble up the rocks on the eastern side of the beach from the carpark, there is a small trail leading to the Hide location. The Cache is a small Sistema Box painted black, there is plenty of room for trackables and Swaps. Please disguise cache once found by placing a rock or 2 infront.
