Geocache Description:

Bats use echolocation to navigate, find prey, and communicate 🦇

Time to find Mr. Bat! He is flying somewhere around the area, away from his home, The Batcave.

23 bat species are critically endangered 🦇

As you may already know, or have learned recently, bats use echolocation to navigate. Mr. Bat is no different. What this means is that Mr. Bat is trying to communicate with you, and since he doesn’t speak English, echolocation is our only mode of communication. Luckily, we have a recording of a message Mr. Bat sent us. Listen to Mr. Bat's call.

Bats can reach speeds of over 100 mph 🦇

If you have as good of hearing as Mr. Bat, hopefully you will be able to come up with coordinates in this format: N 38° 15.XXX W 122° 38.XXX. However, to produce the correct coordinates and find this cache, you must first visit GCAJ8HR The Batcave and collect the specified information there. Let the number you generate there represent the variable W. Using your set of coordinates and W, solve for the final coordinates: N 38° 15.XX(X+W) W 122° 38.(X+W)XX.

Disease is the biggest threat to bats 🦇

Cache is a log-only micro, glued into a larger apparatus. Please be gentle when retrieving, and watch out for spiky thorns of the blackberry bushes! This spot takes a nice little walk to get to, and there are a couple of ways to approach. I found this spot very recently.

Bats are widely dispersed over 6 continents 🦇

Look out for BATS!! Just like at The Batcave; if you’re lucky, they won’t bother you and you won’t see any; or maybe, if you’re lucky, they’ll show themselves to you.

You can validate your puzzle solution with certitude.
