February's Fondly Furnish Fledging Forest
Parking: Suggested parking is in the car park at the provided coords, there is a footbridge to take you over to Horsbere. Or if there is space you can park by the gates leading in to the brook (alternative parking).
Where: Meet by the main gate at 0930 (alternative parking coords) or find us in by the large mulch pile just inside the gate.
What: We will be clearing weeds from the new hedge around the mound and mulching trees using recycled woodchip from christmas trees. The mulch will suppress weed growth and give the trees a nutrient boost.
How: The Countryside Ranger will be there providing guidance and gloves, but please bring a bucket if you have one to help move the mulch.
Health and Safety: The session and will be covered by council insurance as long as you are working under the Countryside Ranger's instruction.
Please make sure you bring along your own refreshments as it can be thirsty work!
