Historic Standard Oil Filling Station no. 1
Before I-65, before 31W, there was the Old Dixie Highway and the Standard Oil Filling Station no.1 serviced travellers visiting or passing through Bowling Green.
Standard Oil Filling Station no.1, Bowling Green's first gas station, was built in 1921 and operated until 1956. It was restored in 2008 and turned into public restrooms for Circus Square Park.
