Larkya La is one of the longest passes in the Himalaya of Nepal, situated at 5,106 metres (16,752 ft) above the sea level. It is located in between Dharmashala and Bimthang and is the highest point in the Manaslu Circuit Trek, spectacular wilderness trekking open since 1991 !
Three Tasks :
1 ) Along the trek, you will find signs indicating the altitude at which you are standing.
- Take two pictures of yourself (the face is not required in the photo) or of your pseudo written on a support (hand, paper...) or an object related to geocaching with a choice of two signs. (View additional waypoints).
2 ) At the pass, there is a large black sign with yellow writing and a number of prayer flags.
- Take a picture of yourself (the face is not required in the photo) or of your pseudo written on a support (hand, paper...) or an object related to geocaching with the Larkya La Pass sign and the prayer flags in the background.
3 ) The large sign indicates an altitude of 5106 m, but on the map and looking at the altimeter curves, it is higher!
- Use your instrument (GPS, Smartphone, watch...) to give us the altitude it indicates at Larkya La Pass (in meters).
