Welcome to Dundee Mill and Park. It's a nice spot we recently found. The mill has a water wheel that works, but only for show. However, the mill generates electricity, which is sold to the local power company, with all profits going back to the upkeep of the Mill.
It is our understanding the mill is only open for tours on the third Sunday of each month. We highly suggest visiting the Mill when tours are available, it's a free tour. We had a great host named Jean who was very knowledgeable about the mill's history. The TV show Extreme Makeover had a part in restoring the mill, according to the brochures available. The public park around the Mill is open from sunrise to sunset! The mill itself does not have to be open to log this virtual!
Two things are required to log this virtual.
1. Close to the entrance to the building, or posted coordinates, there is a sign stating who painted and donated the signage. Please send us an email with your answer. Any answers included in your log will result in the deletion of your log.
2. With your log, please include a photo of your GPS, with the Dundee Mill letters on the building. You may include a selfie if that's your thing, but not required!
