This park is named in honor of Peter Skene Ogden who first entedred the Crooked River Valley while leading a Hudson's Bay Company trapping party in 1825. Located 9 miles north of Redmond along U.S. Route 97, Peter Skene Ogden State Scenic Viewpoint is a rest area and viewpoint with limited parking for trucks and vehicles with trailers. Facilities include restrooms, picknic tables and dramatic viewing of the Crooked River canyon, as well as views of the Crooked River Railroad Bridge, the Crooked river High Bridge and the Rex T Barber Veterans Memorial Bridge. The area is very popular with photographers. The developed area is on the west side of U.S. Route 97, but is accessable easily to both north and southbound traffic.
To learn more about this park, like bungee jumping, please feel free to do my Adventure Lab cache which has more details about the park and only takes 20 minutes or so to complete.
So placing this Virtual Cache here makes this park accessable to getting 7 different icons, Traditional, earth, multi, Mystery (challenge), (Lab Cache Bonus), Adventure Lab Cache Letterbox and now a Virtual. Update, now there is a Wherigo so that makes 8 icons you can get here.
The coordinates are located at a Benchmark (so if you do Benchmarks there is another bonus), but please feel free to walk around the park and take in the views. In case there might be snow covering up the Benchmark I have included a picture of the location of it in the Gallery
To log this cache I am including two ways to log it.
Include a Picture of what you liked most about the park with a thumbs up in the picture like this in your log;

OR
Message me the answer to these two questions if you are camera shy:
With the benchmark behind you, looking towards the highway, how many arches do you see in the railing across from you that runs parallel to the highway?
AND
Facing the benchmark, to your left, there is a set of concrete steps. How many steps are there including the top landing? Remember, don't post the answers in your log but message them to me.
Things to keep in mind safetywise:
There are multiple signs at the park that advise visitors to supervise children and keep dogs in their cars. Many dogs have died from falling into the canyon so please be cautious.
