Dürerstein
Vom Dürerstein hat man einen besonders schönen Blick auf Klausen. Vom Zentrum der Stadt erreicht man diesen Aussichtspunkt in wenigen Minuten. Klausen ist in die Liste der schönsten Ortschaften Italiens (I borghi più belli d'Italia) aufgenommen worden.
Albrecht Dürer (1471 - 1528) war ein deutscher Maler, Grafiker, Mathematiker und Kunsttheoretiker. Mit seinen Gemälden, Zeichnungen, Kupferstichen und Holzschnitten zählt er zu den herausragenden Vertretern der Renaissance. Während seiner ersten Italienreise (1494/1495) verweilte er in Klausen. Der Eisack führte damals Hochwasser, und Dürer konnte seine Reise nach Süden vorerst nicht fortsetzen. Während dieses Aufenthaltes in Klausen malte er ein Aquarell mit dem Bild der Stadt. Dieses Werk ist leider nicht erhalten geblieben, aber Dürer hat das Motiv einige Jahre später als Hintergrund für den Kupferstich "Das große Glück" verwendet. Da es sich um einen Druck handelt, ist die Stadt seitenverkehrt abgebildet, aber eindeutig erkennbar. Als Erinnerung an den Besuch des großen Künstlers wurde dieser Gedenkstein aus blaugrauem Diorit errichtet und am 18. August 1912 feierlich eingeweiht.

La pietra di Dürer
Dalla pietra di Dürer (Dürerstein) si ha una vista particolarmente bella su Chiusa. Dal centro della città si raggiunge in pochi minuti questo punto panoramico. Chiusa è stata selezionata dall'associazione "I borghi più belli d'Italia".
Albrecht Dürer (1471 - 1528) era un pittore, grafico, matematico e teorico dell'arte tedesco. Con i suoi dipinti, disegni, incisioni e xilografie è uno dei più importanti rappresentanti del Rinascimento. Durante il suo primo viaggio in Italia (1494/95) soggiornò a Chiusa. In quel momento il fiume Isarco era in piena e Dürer non poté proseguire il suo viaggio verso sud. Durante questo soggiorno a Chiusa, Dürer dipinse un acquerello raffigurante la città. Purtroppo quest'opera non è sopravvissuta, ma alcuni anni dopo Dürer utilizzò il motivo come sfondo per l'incisione "Das große Glück". Trattandosi di un’incisione su rame, la città è raffigurata con i lati invertiti, ma chiaramente riconoscibile. A ricordo della visita del grande artista, fu eretta questa pietra commemorativa in diorite grigio-blu ed inaugurata il 18 agosto 1912.

The Dürer Stone
From the Dürerstein you have a particularly beautiful view of the Klausen (Chiusa). This viewpoint can be reached in just a few minutes from the center of the city. Klausen has been included in the list of the most beautiful places in Italy (I borghi più belli d'Italia).
Albrecht Dürer (1471 - 1528) was a German painter, graphic artist, mathematician and art theorist. With his paintings, drawings, engravings and woodcuts, he is one of the outstanding representatives of the Renaissance. During his first trip to Italy (1494/95) he stayed in Klausen. The river Eisack was in flood at the time and Dürer was unable to continue his journey south for the moment. During this stay in Klausen, Dürer painted a watercolor depicting the city. Unfortunately, this work has not survived, but a few years later he used the motif as a background for the engraving "Das große Glück". Since this is a print, the city is laterally reversed but clearly recognizable. As a reminder of the great artist's visit, this memorial stone made of blue-gray diorite was erected and inaugurated on August 18, 1912.
