Le château d’Anvaing appartient aux comtes de Lannoy depuis plus de 2 siècles. Son histoire est passionnante et mêle faits de guerre, découverte d’un trésor, conte de fée et légendes…Situé dans l'entité de Frasnes, le château d'Anvaing a été construit en 1561. Caractérisé par une architecture de style Renaissance, le château a subi d'importantes transformations à plusieurs reprises, notamment au début du XIXe siècle quand il a été rehaussé d’un étage afin d'être en harmonie avec les goûts de l'époque. A cela s’ajoute une roseraie, une orangerie, des jardins à l’anglaise ainsi qu’un parc à la française. Mais les traces d'une demeure plus ancienne ont été décelées au fond de l'étang qui s'apparentait autrefois à un marécage traversé par la Rhosnes.En 1781 la seigneurie d'Anvaing et le château furent acquis par la famille des comtes de Lannoy dont les descendants occupent encore les lieux chargés d'anecdotes historiques. Ainsi, en mai 1940, le général allemand von Reichenau y établit le QG de la 6ème armée qui combattait alors en Belgique. La capitulation de l'armée belge fut signée par l'officier belge Derousseaux dans la salle à manger du château.En 1860, deux torques gaulois et des pièces en or datant d’avant l’invasion de la Gaule par Jules César ont été retrouvés sur le domaine. Aujourd’hui ces trésors sont exposés au MET, Metropolitan Museum of Art, de New York parmi les antiquités celtiques. En 2012, une descendante de la famille, la comtesse Stéphanie, s’est mariée au grand-duc héritier Guillaume de Luxembourg. Enfin, le Sentier de l’Amour, parcours artistique pédestre de 6 km, met en scène la légende qui entoure le château en représentant la Dame Blanche qui protège le trésor caché dans les douves du château.

Etape 3: Le miroir: aller au wp3 en N50°40.657 E003°34.571 , regarder bien le miroir, m'envoyer en privé sur ma messagerie géocaching ou par le système de messagerie du site  la phrase écrite telle qu'elle sur le miroir .
