Naisvuori - Mikkelin kaupungin maamerkki
Naisvuori on Mikkelin keskustan välittömässä läheisyydessä sijaitseva korkea mäki, jonka huippu on 43 metriä Saimaan ja 122 metriä meren pinnan yläpuolella. Naisvuori vesitorneineen on Mikkelin tunnetuimpia maamerkkejä.
Naisvuorelle rakennettiin 1800-luvun lopulla puisto ravintoloineen ja huvimajoineen. Vuosina 1911–1912 paviljongin paikalle rakennettiin vesitorni, jonka pohjakerrokseen sijoitettiin keittiö ja katoksellinen paviljonkihuone. Tämän Suomen ensimmäisen teräsbetonirakennuksen avajaisia vietettiin vappuna 1912. Naisvuoren vesitorni on Suomen toiseksi vanhin varsinainen vesitorni ja vanhin säilynyt sellainen.
Talvi- ja jatkosodan aikana Naisvuoressa toimi päämajakaupunkia suojannut ilmavalvonta. Välirauhan aikana louhittiin Naisvuoren matalampaan osaan luolasto, johon jatkosodan sytyttyä sijoitettiin Päämajan viestikeskus Lokki. Sotien jälkeen vuoreen louhittuja luolastoja on laajenettu.
Torni sai nykyisen muotonsa vuonna 1946 arkkitehti Eero Jokilehdon toimesta. Sitä on kunnostettu mm. vuosina 1963 ja 1971. Näkötornin viimeisin ja mittavin kunnostus ja maalaustyö saatiin päätökseen vuonna 2022. Puiston kohentamistyöhön on panostettu ja panostetaan edelleen. Naisvuori toimii tänäkin päivänä tapahtumapaikkana ja suosittuna matkailu- ja virkistyskohteena.
Naisvuoren näkötornista on muodostunut Mikkelille tärkeä symboli. Paikka on ympäristöltään ja rakennushistorialtaan merkittävä ja arvokas kohde. Näkötornin huipulta avautuu hieno maisema alla komeilevaan Mikkeliin.
TEHTÄVÄNÄSI ON NOUSTA NAISVUORELLE JA OTTAA KUVA NÄKÖTORNISTA ANNETUISSA KOORDINAATEISSA SITEN, ETTÄ:

Kaikki vaadittavat elementit ovat havaittavissa boguspisteeltä, kävit paikalla mihin vuodenaikaan tahansa.
2) Kuvassa tulee näkyä myös kätköilynimimerkkisi tai jokin sinulle kuuluva henkilökohtainen esine tai asia
(nimikyltti, gps, käsin kirjoitettu paperi, omakuva...)

Et tarvitse erillistä loggauslupaa, kunhan vain muistat liittää vaaditun kuvan loggaukseesi. Jos et halua liittää kuvaasi löytöloggaukseesi, voit toki sen lähettää suoraan minulle viestikeskuksen tai sähköpostin kautta. Mikäli mainitut vaatimukset kuvasta eivät täyty, poistetaan loggaus sen suuremmin kyselemättä puutteellisen vastauksen takia.
Naisvuori - the landmark of the city of Mikkeli
Naisvuori is a high hill located in the immediate vicinity of the center of Mikkeli, whose peak is 43 meters above Saimaa and 122 meters above sea level. Naisvuori with its water towers is Mikkeli's most famous landmarks.
At the end of the 19th century, a park with restaurants and gazebos was built on Naisvuori. In the years 1911–1912, a water tower was built on the place of the pavilion, with a kitchen and a canopied pavilion room placed on the ground floor. The opening of this first reinforced concrete building in Finland was celebrated on May Day 1912. Naisvuori water tower is the second oldest water tower in Finland and the oldest surviving one.
During the Winter and Continuation War, the air surveillance that protected the headquarters city operated in Naisvuori. During the interim peace, a cave was excavated in the lower part of Naisvuori, where, after the outbreak of the Continuation War, the main headquarters' message center Lokki was placed. After the wars, the caves dug into the mountain have been expanded.
The tower got its current form in 1946 by architect Eero Jokilehto. It has been renovated e.g. in 1963 and 1971. The most recent and extensive renovation of the lookout tower and the painting work were completed in 2022. Efforts have been and continue to be made to improve the park. Even today, Naisvuori functions as an event venue and a popular tourist and recreation destination.
The Naisvuori observation tower has become an important symbol for Mikkeli. The place is a significant and valuable object in terms of its environment and building history. From the top of the lookout tower, a great view opens up to the beautiful Mikkeli below.
YOUR TASK IS TO CLIMB NAISVÚORI AND TAKE A PICTURE OF THE OBSERVATION TOWER AT THE GIVEN COORDINATES SO THAT:
1) The following three (3) elements are visible in one image at the same time:
- Naisvuori observation tower
- Pergola
- Water play fountain sculpture
All the required elements are visible from the bogus point, no matter what time of year you visit.
2) The photo must also show your geocaching nickname or a personal item/thing belonging to you (name tag, GPS, handwritten paper, self-portrait...)

You don't need a separate logging authorisation, as long as you remember to include the required image to your log. If you don't want to include your picture in your finder's log, you can of course send it directly to me via the message center or email. If the mentioned requirements are not met, the logging will be deleted without further questioning due to an incomplete responce.
