Ptujski turistični okvir skozi katerega se vidi Ptujski grad, za izdelavo katerega so porabili več kot tri tone aluminija. Šlo je za izjemno velik zalogaj. Ptujski prstan so izdelali v podjetju Talum, ki je okvir mestu Ptuj podaril kot darilo ob 1950. obletnici omembe Ptuja v pisnih virih, obenem pa tudi sebi ob 65-letnici delovanja tovarne. Projekt je nastal na pobudo humanitarnega društva Soroptimist Ptuj, idejna vodja je bila Tjaša Mrgole Jukič. Povezali so se s Talumom in Mestno občino (MO) Ptuj, pomembno vlogo sta odigrala umetnik Tomaž Plavec, ki je avtor idejne zasnove, medtem ko je ureditev lokacije in postavitev piedestala zasnoval krajinski arhitekt Boštjan Vauda. Kot je dejala županja MO Ptuj Nuška Gajšek, so se praznovanju jubileja mesta letos poklonili številni umetniki, kulturniki, zavodi in posamezniki, okvir predstavlja enega trajnih spominov na obeleževanje obletnice: »Vsaka fotografija, ki jo bodo obiskovalci ujeli skozi okvir, bo promocija mesta, bo svojevrsten spomin za naše zanamce.« Dodala je, da je Ptuj s tem pridobil novo atrakcijo, za katero verjame, da bo povečala tudi prepoznavnost mesta.
Predsednik uprave Taluma Marko Drobnič je izpostavil, kako trdo so delali, da je nastal turistični okvir Ptuja. Zahvalil se je vsem, ki so pri tem sodelovali, v prvi vrsti livarjem, ki so z zagnanostjo in veseljem sodelovali pri izjemno velikem projektu. Ta jim je predstavljal velik izziv, zaradi obsežnosti so prstan izdelali iz štirih delov in ga šele nato spojili v celoto. »Če boste stopili bliže in podrobneje pogledali, se zazrli v globino okvira, boste videli še nekaj: 1.500 obrazov, predanih aluminiju. Teh obrazov nihče iz nobene fotografije Ptuja, ki bo nastala skozi ta okvir, ne bo mogel izbrisati. Ostajajo večni,« je dejal Drobnič.
Pot od ideje do realizacije je trajala kar nekaj časa. Predsednica Soroptimist kluba Ptuj Tanja Tučič je dejala, da so se v klubu z vso odgovornostjo odločali, kaj mestu podariti ob jubileju, prevladal je ta projekt. Ptujske Soroptimistke so ga naslovile Pogled Ptuja.

Na fotografiji morate biti vidni vi (ni potrebno da se vidi vaš obraz) ali nekaj vašega (osebni predmet) z vašim psevdonimom in datumom vašega obiska skozi Ptujski prstan.
Uporaba programskih orodij za editiranje slik ni dovoljeno.

The Ptuj Tourist Frame, through which you can see Ptuj Castle, which took more than three tonnes of aluminium to make. It was an enormous undertaking. The Ptuj Ring was made by Talum, which gave the frame to the town of Ptuj as a gift to commemorate the 1950th anniversary of Ptuj in written records, and to itself on the occasion of the 65th anniversary of the factory. The project was initiated by the humanitarian association Soroptimist Ptuj, and was the brainchild of Tjaša Mrgole Jukič. The artist Tomaž Plavec played an important role as the author of the conceptual design, while the landscape architect Boštjan Vauda designed the site layout and the pedestal. As the Mayor of Ptuj, Nuška Gajšek, said, this year many artists, cultural people, institutions and individuals have paid tribute to the anniversary of the town, and the frame is one of the lasting memories of the anniversary: "Every photograph that visitors will capture through the frame will be a promotion of the town, a unique memory for our posterity." She added that Ptuj has gained a new attraction, which she believes will also increase the visibility of the city.
Marko Drobnič, CEO of Talum, pointed out how hard they have worked to create the tourist framework of Ptuj. He thanked all those involved, especially the foundry workers, who had participated with enthusiasm and joy in what was a very large project. It had been a great challenge for them, because of its size, they had made the ring in four parts and only then put it together as a whole. "If you step closer and take a closer look, look into the depth of the frame, you will see something else: 1,500 faces committed to aluminium. No one will be able to erase these faces from any photograph of Ptuj that will be taken through this frame. They will remain eternal," said Drobnič.
The journey from idea to realisation took some time. Tanja Tučič, President of the Soroptimist Club of Ptuj, said that the club took the responsibility of deciding what to present to the city on the occasion of the anniversary, and this project prevailed. The Ptuj Soroptimists called it The View of Ptuj.
