Geocache Description:

29 February 2024, 00:00 - 00:30

Join us from 12:00:01 AM to 12:32:00 AM at the Dascomb Road Park and Ride off of I-93 for a traditional Leap Day celebration. There is ample opportunity for carpooling to and from the event and plenty of parking.

As all events are, this is a great opportunity for social interaction.  We are in active negotiations for a more complete entertainment experience as seen below.

At 12:01 we will gather around the Light Post for resounding renditions of traditional Leap Day Hymns, including

  • I'm Dreaming of a White Leap Day
  • Baby It's Cold Outside
  • Jump Around!
  • and Many Many More

After this there will be a series for brief lectures from geocaching celebrities of leaping fame.

  • Bovine Space Exploration by the Cow Who Jumped over the Moon

With the current space race to return humans to the moon, Cow willl share the bovine plans to welcome those humans back.  This includes the advance development of space suits by the black and white holesteins.  Additionally the commercial spinoffs of the research will be discussed, including professional bull riding, whipped cream, and anti chafing cream. Funding for this speaker has been provided by the Space Advancement Association of Bovines (SAAB).

  • If You Don't Log It, It Never Happened by the Star of Frogger

Transportation is very important to geocaching regardless of the difficulty or terrain.  Most caches user geomobiles to get to trailhead.  Trucks and other large vehicles transport the GNSS receivers, mobile phones, batteries, and other supplies to keep going.  But waterborn transportation should not be ignored.  Boats, swimming, and log riding are also important.  Highlights of the speakers mistakes will be discussed.

  • Pay Attention to What is Below Your Feet by the Star of Lemmings.

While the goal is important, keeping track of foot placement can keep you from jumping off the cliff.  Motiviated by generations of experience, this talk teaches critical lessons.
