This is my Story, and this pathway of 50 caches will highlight not only my journy but trails in the Clearance City Council area that I used for training.
The Tangara trail (https://www.ccc.tas.gov.au/places/tangara-trail/) comprises of approx. 250Km shared use trails. From Cambridge and Five Mile Beach to South Arm.
The Bibbulmun Trail (https://www.bibbulmuntrack.org.au/), is a long distance trail of over a 1000 km in Western Australia from Albany to Kalamunda in the Perth Hills.
During 2023 I walked this trail over a period of 50 days.
Note - NO ACCESS from the Highway
Mt Chance
The pingerup plains bibbulmun track, a quick google search for images will tell the story. So not 20 minutes from camp and not only the first wading of the day but the heavens opened up. Today was a distance of 21km, with about 16km been inundated with water. At times reaching knee deep, luckly mostly ankle deep, but with the rain falling even a slope on the track was like walking through a flowing creek. So I do the best to hang my clothes overnight to dry, knowing full well that I will be putting back on wet gear in the morning.
You get to a point when seeing another puddle you don't even stop or slow your stride, but just walk straight in and walk through, learning to embrace the suck. Unfortunately with your head tucked down watching your step and constant rain one misses some of the scenery, the plus side is you walk, with little or no stopping and make good time.
