Geocache Description:

Groundhog Day happens on February 2nd every year. In some movies, it happens over and over again.

On Saturday, January 27, 2024, we noticed a groundhog on the Enola Low-Grade Trail. It seemed very relaxed and unconcerned about our presence. It then trundled across the trail. I got video and made a movie. Putting the video in slow motion, I could see that the groundhog seemed to use a couple of different gaits.

If this groundhog is predicting our weather, it is definitely not scared of its shadow and is ready to come out and munch stuff. Yeah! Early spring.

You will want to watch my groundhog movie to get the coordinates.

Cache is in Lancaster County Central Park which is open only during the day. They have friendly rangers who notice things. Posted coordinates are for nearby parking. The ground may be squishy. GPS indicated position floats all over here. Bison tube is not in the Conestoga River.
