Leap Day at the Park

5:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.
It's finally here! Leap Day 2024!!! Leap Day is an important day for geocachers as it only comes once every four years. On this special day, geocachers try to fill grids, complete challenges, find as many caches (shades of green), discover icons, and earn a special souvenir. Good news though. This event will count towards one of your four finds for the day to earn your Leap Day souvenir. After a long day of finding cache and getting icons, come on by to this event. Earn an Event icon for Leap Day! The event is a gathering for Geocachers far and wide. There will be two tables set up. One for food/drinks and the other to display your geocaching collectibles (trackables and more). If you would like to volunteer to bring something to eat, drink or share, no obligation, please get in contact with me. I will bring treats and drinks myself. Wear green or froggy clothing/attire. There will be footballs, frisbees, and equipment for everyone's enjoyment. The park has a nice walking trail, field, and playground, so bring the kids. There will be giveaways and a log to sign (BYOP). Penny, our Geo-Pup will be present. Come join us! Happy Leap Day!
