Geocache Description:

29 February 2024, 17:30 - 19:00

Leap Day on the CoW Trail

Everyone stops in Utica, so why not pop in to gather with your Geofriends and get a smiley on the rare February 29 date? Leap Day only comes around once every four years! This event is located in the Stoughton suburb of Utica, on County Highway W along the "CoW Trail" from Coachman's Resort to Highways 12 & 18.

WHAT: Leap Year Event on the “CoW Trail”

WHEN: Thursday, February 29

TIME: 5:30 - 7:00PM

WHERE: Utica Bar, 2167 Co. W, Cambridge, WI 53523 This is a family-friendly bar and grill.

Happy Leap Day everybody! Activities will be held in the back dining area. There is plenty of room to gather and socialize. There will be door prize drawings at 6:45. Please feel free to share and trade trackables amongst yourselves. I’m sure everyone has some geocaching adventures to share.

Food and beverages are available. Each cacher is responsible for their own tab. Utica Bar does not take credit cards, but there is an ATM on site. You are not required to eat, but their food is amazing. Also… Thursday is Wing Night! You can view their full menu on line.

Please make a "will attend" log so I can give an approximate headcount. They would like to be sure they are adequately staffed for us. After attending be sure to submit an "attended" log to get your smiley for this special day. This will count as one of the 4 required geocache logs needed to earn your "Leap Day 2024 souvenir - making up for lost time."

Again, everyone is welcome to come and visit with other cachers from the area and put some faces to the names we see in the logs. I know it’s been quite some time since I’ve attended a local event.

I will try to have some new caches re-established along the “CoW Trail” but feel free to cache your way to the event! I’m looking forward to seeing everyone, Luann
