WARNING, IF YOU GO UP THE ROAD FROM LIPPENCOTT YOU ARE BEST TO GO PAST THE CACHE SITE AND TURN AROUND AND COME BACK TO PARK ALONG THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. THE LEFT SIDE WHERE IT LOOKS LIKE A GOOD SPOT HAS AN ELECTRIC FENCE CLOSE BY. BE CAREFUL GETTING OUT OF THE CAR ON THIS SIDE.
ALSO THE CACHE IS NO WHERE ON OR NEAR THE FENCES.
Welcome to the alpaca farm. Needless to say, this is a private property even if the caches here are next to the road. So, please no caching after dusk and do your best to not spook the animals if they are close to the fence/road.
This is the second cache on this private property. However, I do have permissio for this to be placed here.
I am hoping that you will be able to see more alpaca from this cache spot at least in the spring and summer months. Here are a few fun facts about Alpacas:.
1. Alpacas are a domesticated animal. There are not wild alpacas anywhere in the world.
3. A99% of all alpacas live in South America.
4. Like sheep and cows, alpacas are ruminant, meaning they regurgitate their food and chew it more.
5. Llamas and alpacas can breed and there young are called 8huraizo
6. Alpacas communicate through body language and sound. The sound they use most is humming and that can be confusing because they hum when they are happy, stressed, and/or bored.
7. Like some people, most alpacas are clean freaks.
8. Alpaca fiber is non-flamable and waterproof.
9. Alpacas are ancient. They have been around for thousands of years.
10. Alpacas can be houstrained.
