All hail our furry friend, who claims spring will come early this year. That means better caching weather! We thank you wise and powerful groundhog.
My family had an interesting Ground Hog's Day tradition when I was growing up. The night before, each of us would hang a single mitten on my mom's desk in the livingroom. The next morning, the Ground Hog would have come and left a single small toy, tool, or other useful item in our mitten. My dad continued this tradition, at least with me, even after I graduated and left home. The ground hog was frequently late, due to needing to ship his items to me, but they always came with a note in poor handwriting (apparently ground hogs have difficulty holding pens) explaining that it took a while for him to hunt me down. This is one of my favotire memories of my dad. Feel free to use it as inspiration to start a new Ground Hog's Day tradtion in your own family.
