Geocache Description:

Welcome to the WordleWizard Power Trail!

We all know Wordle. The famous word game which took the world by storm, but . . . how well do you know its variants? Some of you may be saying you're well versed in the dordle and quordle. Maybe you do the octordle on occasion. Or even the sedecordle. Maybe you think you're the stuff because you completed the duotrigordle or you might have just possibly once finished a sexaginta-quattuordle (the kilordle looks rough but is really a walk in the park so we won't count it).

Well, let me tell you right now, you're out of your league. This series highlights many of the variants — both well and lesser known — of the now iconic word game. The geographic, math, music, sports, language, book, and movie variants are not included, so sorry for you Globlers, Nerdlers, Heardles, etc. Keep a lookout and they might become their own miniseries. We'll see. WordleWizard just focuses on the imaginative word-based variants. The puzzles mentioned above are not included due to their basic nature and proximity to Wordle itself.

All puzzles are screenshots of actual puzzles I have completed right before I fully solved them, so they are all doable. In order to turn the checker green, you must solve the puzzle and answer the necessary questions about the solved word(s).

A link to the puzzle gamesite is provided for each puzzle as it is easier to go there to learn the rules than for me to explain them on the cache page. Plus, if it is one you enjoy, now you know where to find it.

Hide Disclaimer: All hides are untethered. This means, that despite all my efforts to hide them in places where they should stay secure, they may wander. I strongly encourage you to check the area surrounding the beacon if you do not see it in its supposed spot.

Puzzle Disclaimer: All of the puzzle screenshots are taken right before I solved it, however that doesn't mean the information shown in the screenshot narrows the answer down to only one answer. Despite my efforts for that to be the case, for some of the puzzles, another word will make sense as the answer. Just know that if you input an answer into the checker and it doesn't turn green, there could just be another completely valid answer which meets all the criteria.

Awknowledgements:

  • There is nothing at Posted Coordinates.
  • Caches within FCPA Park jurisdiction were placed with their knowledge and approval. When caching within jurisdiction of an FCPA Park, you may not go in after dark.
  • Recommended time for searching is Autumn and Winter, if you do go in the warmer seasons, long pants and bug spray are highly encouraged.

Absurdle 2.0

Well, after so long of not playing, it seems this variant has not made it. The link I had to the website is not a page anymore. In that case you get to play a vintage variant! The rules of the game are basic wordle but 8 guesses and the word can be any length. Pretty straight forward. You may be wondering why this says Absurdle 2.0. That is becuase Absurdle is another wordle variant which is more complicated and extremely fun to play, but hard to make a puzzle out of so it is not in this series (you'll see what I mean if you play it) but I have included it as a part of this cache as a bonus game purely for your enjoyment.

For clarification: The puzzle below is from the archived Absurdle, and what you need in order to turn the checker green. The link that works is another Absurdle, but one not needed for finding the cache.

You can validate your puzzle solution with certitude.
