Geocache Description:

The Elgin Trail runs 41 km from Port Stanley on Lake Erie to Southdel Bourne, following Kettle Creek and Dodds Creek, along some country roads for several kilometres, and then goes over the 401 and crosses a forest near the Green Lane landfill site. The trail is well marked with white blazes, but is not well-used, so it is overgrown at times.

This new series highlights the best hikes around the world, trails that we would someday like to hike on and enjoy. There are an assortment of caches along the Elgin trail commemorating these other trails.

The Cory Pass Loop is a trail located in Banff National Park. Situated outside of the townsite of Banff, Alberta, and named after the Cory Pass, the trail crosses this pass between Mount Edith and Mount Cory. The pass opens up to Gargoyle Valley, and continues around the east side of Mount Edith, eventually returning to the original trail head. It is approximately 15 km long and is a very challenging day hike, descending and ascending over 1000 m in altitude. The hike is best done in a clockwise circle for the best views, to ascend on the steep trail, and to descend on the scree and gentler Edith Pass trail.

Opa Norshley helped me with the hides and the listing. Hope you like these.

The cache is in a bushy tree just off the trail.
