[HU] A Csukás-éri-főcsatorna a Duna–Tisza közén elhelyezkedő 33-as számú Dong-ér-Kecskeméti-belvízrendszerben összegyülekező vizek elvezetésére szolgáló „erősen módosított” mesterséges vízfolyás.Kecskemét belterületi szakaszán a csatornát számos híd és út keresztezi. A főcsatornán ugyanakkor látványos nagyműtárgyak nem épültek. A csatorna sajátossága, hogy felsőbb szakaszának nagy esése miatt a mederben történő vízvisszatartás alig lehetséges. Az alsóbb szakasz túlterhelését megakadályozandó a főcsatornába érkező csatornák torkolatánál tiltós műtárgyakat helyeztek el, amelyeket csapadékos időben elzárnak, ezzel tehermentesítve a főcsatornát.
[EN] The Csukás-éri main canal is a "heavily modified" artificial water course for draining the waters collected in the Dong-ér-Kecskemét internal water system No. 33, located between the Danube and the Tisza.In the inland section of Kecskemét, the canal is crossed by numerous bridges and roads. At the same time, no spectacular large structures were built on the main canal. The peculiarity of the channel is that, due to the high drop in its upper section, water retention in the bed is hardly possible. In order to prevent the overloading of the lower section, prohibitory structures were placed at the mouths of the canals entering the main canal, which are closed in rainy weather, thereby relieving the main canal.
