The professors in the English department at the local community college have decided to have a friendly contest to see who can come up with the best super short story.  You will need to determine what type of person each professor is, his demeanor while composing his story, and the method used to record his story.

The lunatic was neither grinning nor scowling, and composed his story neither by shorthand nor typing.  Oliver is too extravagant to be the minimalist - and surprisingly, he isn’t the lunatic either.  Also, Oliver did not employ a composition method that begins with D.  The professor who was smiling was doing so because he was using shorthand and knew the others wouldn’t be able to read it.  Silas was neither laughing nor smiling, however he was the traditionalist.  Will is more of a negative person, so he is not grinning, smiling, or laughing.  Bah humbug.  Surprisingly, he isn’t the rebel.  About the rebel, he was neither drawing nor writing, but he was smiling.  Dean, who is laughing, used neither shorthand nor dictation.  The minimalist used neither drawing nor writing, however he was grinning as he composed his story.  The traditionalist used typing for his story.  Randy is more of a positive person so he was neither frowning nor scowling.  Also, Randy was not the rebel.  The professor using drawing  was neither frowning nor scowling.  The strategist did not use drawing and he was neither frowning nor laughing.

Ok, time is up and the results are in.  Randy was the winner!!
