22nd March - Mulching and Maintaining the Woods
CITO 2024, Season 1
Attend a CITO from Friday 1st March through to Friday 31st May 2024 to get an official CITO Souvenir
Parking: There is some street parking on Appleton Way (parking coords) or you can park in Laxton Road and walk through Green Lane Nature Reserve on to the balancing pond.
Where: Meet by the large field gate entrance into the balancing pond on Appleton Way, see trail ahead, or find us at the published coordinates.
What: Join us caring for the newly planted trees at Appleton Way. We will be checking and weeding the newly planted trees and mulching the silver birch trees.
How: The Countryside Ranger will be there providing guidance and tools if necessary, however, if you have your own shears, hammer and gloves please do bring them along.
Health and Safety: The session and will be covered by council insurance as long as you are working under the Countryside Ranger's instruction.
Please make sure you bring along your own refreshments as it can be thirsty work!
